Name: IronRation
Brand: IronRation

Question 1

Is the shift-aware calorie floor just a marketing label?

Accepted Answer

It is a planning guardrail, not a medical measurement. IronRation uses the shift-intensity input to account for labor demand in the daily plan, so a cut does not automatically default to an office-calendar target. Use it as a starting point, then pay attention to your energy, performance, and consistency.

Question 2

My metabolism doesn't care what I do for a living - why does my job matter?

Accepted Answer

Your job matters to the plan because labor changes what your day asks of you, even though it does not change the basic science of metabolism. A long shift, heat, climbing, carrying, or repeated awkward positions can change how practical a calorie target, meal timing choice, or recovery session feels. IronRation adjusts the plan around that work context without claiming to diagnose or treat anything.

Question 3

Who is behind IronRation?

Accepted Answer

Michael Sims, an Electrical Contractor at Apex Electric, LLC, created IronRation after seeing generic fitness apps overlook physically demanding trade work and long shifts. His founder profile is centered on fitness and nutrition that fits the job and the shift.

Question 4

Is the free tier really forever?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The free tier is intended to remain free forever and includes the core goals, daily macro logging, a starting recipe set, and exercise basics. Premium is optional at $19 per month after the trial when you want the adaptive dashboard, deeper recipe library, cycles, and full exercise catalog.
